PETBOOK is a service of Axel Springer Deutschland GmbH and was launched in 2022 as an online magazine for pets. We report daily – competently, comprehensibly, independently.
Our goal, purpose and claim
The aim of PETBOOK is to provide people with pets and those who have contact with animals with the most important information to ensure species-appropriate and healthy keeping and care at all times. With news, advice articles and reports, we provide daily tips – and offer guidance in the interpretation of behavior. In this way, we contribute to mutual understanding between pets and humans. PETBOOK can count on the professional expertise of experts from all fields: from veterinarians and biologists to animal trainers.
Our aim is to provide all pet owners with reliable information on species-appropriate husbandry, animal health, optimal nutrition and the right training. We also want to explain why some animals exhibit certain behaviors. We look at popular pets such as dogs, cats, small animals, fish and birds as well as exotic animals, where we clearly focus on species-appropriate husbandry, as well as horses and farm, farm and wild animals.
Our target group
Our readers – regardless of their age group – are new and experienced pet owners. They are looking for independent and well-researched information to help them develop a better understanding of how to treat animals and ensure that they are kept in the most species-appropriate way possible.
